Sketch → Solid

Import a reference photo, trace a sketch over it, calibrate the sketch to real-world scale by clicking two points on something of known length (a ruler works well) and typing that length, extrude the traced profile into a solid, then export an STL or a project file you can reopen and keep editing. Single sketch, single extrude -- a basic tracing/scaling tool, not a full CAD history tree.
